Man Robs Wicker Park Bank in Construction Gear
The man is still at large after running off with an undisclosed amount of money. He robbed the bank in a construction vest.
The man was wearing a construction outfit when he robbed the North Community Bank at 1555 N. Damen Ave. around 3:30 p.m., the Tribune writes. Although he did not display a gun, FBI spokeswoman Joan Hyde said the man verbally demanded money from tellers.
The suspect ran away with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the Tribune.
Although police have not confirmed a connection, it’s similar to a recent bank robbery in Lincoln Square. On Feb. 1, a man dressed in construction clothes and a hard hat robbed a North Community Bank at 4701 N. Clark St.
The FBI is now offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of that suspect, described as a white man about 30 years old, approximately 6 feet, 2 inches and weighing 230 pounds.
Anyone having information about the robberies should contact the Chicago FBI at 312-421-6700 or local police.
