Veterans Day Service at Rosehill Cemetery, Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
Details: Military re-enactors from America’s wars will pay tribute to veterans at Rosehill Cemetery on Sunday. A parade and firing of cannons will kick off the commemoration, followed by a ceremony at the Horacio N. May Chapel, 5800 North Ravenswood Avenue.
Northcenter Veterans Day Commemorative Ceremony, Sunday at 11 a.m.
Details: Join the Northcenter Chamber as they honor the area’s veterans in the Town Square, 4100 North Damen Avenue. Local officials, the Lake View High School Junior ROTC and armed forces members will be in attendance at the service.
Fiesta Cultural, Saturday from 4 to 8:30 p.m.
Details: Lake View’s Inter-American Magnet School is hosting their annual benefit and fundraiser Saturday at 851 West Waveland Avenue. Sample food from Spain, Latin America, China and Russia at this cultural celebration. Performances will include live professional entertainment from groups like La Bompleneras, Los Jarochicanos and the Latin Street Semi-Pro Team.
Cost: $10 for adults, $5 for children
City of Chicago Veterans Day Ceremony, Saturday at 10 a.m.
Details: For the biggest celebration of veterans in Chicago, gather at Vietnam Veterans Memorial Plaza, along Chicago’s Riverwalk between State and Wabash.
Melissa Ethridge at the Chicago Theater, Saturday at 8 p.m.
Details: The famous rock singer will be in Chicago on Saturday promoting her new studio album 4th Street Feeling. If you’re a fan and feeling the beat, check her out at the Chicago Theater.
