New exhibit comes to Logan Square's Beauty and Brawn Art Gallery

Loosey Goosey presents The Up and Coming at Chicago’s Logan Square Beauty & Brawn Art Gallery and Think Space at 3501 W. Fullerton, Chicago, IL 60647.

Loosey Goosey is a group that acts as a foundation and stepping stone for underground artists to exhibit their work through a quarterly art-zine, and by curating various art shows around Chicago. By producing an intimate event filled with close colleagues, artists and friends, Loosey Goosey hopes to act as a catalyst for future connections and creations to perpetuate the underground art culture of Chicago.   This exhibition features the works of four visual artists Corey Sever, Ryan Geiger, Jana Blue Photography, and Joseph Sido.

A free Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, July 27th, 2013 from 6pm - 10pm.  The reception includes jewelry by Anna Jakubik, creative food contributions by Doni Everson, music by Eli Taber and Schuyler Rae; and tarot card readings by Annie.   The exhibition runs through September 28, 2013.  Regular viewing hours are by appointment.

*Beauty and Brawn’s current exhibition “Her”, featuring the works of 7 Chicago female artists, will have a closing reception on Saturday, July 13th, 2013 from 6pm-10pm.

In addition to its art exhibitions, Beauty & Brawn offers Summer Camp for children ages 3-12, multi-disciplinary art classes for children ages 2 years and up, family-friendly art exhibitions/receptions, affordable studio gatherings, and art parties for children and adults, and is also an event rental space and community event space.
