Opera AND Jazz?? TOGETHER??

Well, who would have thought that opera and jazz would come together and yet it will.
On Friday night, May 2 Soprano Takesha Meshe' Kizart will join Djore' Nance and Susan Yantis in their premier performance of "Opera Reconstructed," an original amalgamation of opera and jazz.
Takesha Meshe' Kizart is a local girl... went to school at St. Stanislaus Kostka Elementary and Whitney Young High School.
She is returning to St. Stan's for the second time in the last 5 months to treat us to her magnificant voice.
Not only has she had starring roles in several operas in Europe and Australia, she starred in the feature film, "The Verdian Voice."
The Kizart 'package' includes that magnificent voice and a sparkling personality.  You can see her and her companions at the benefit concert on Friday, May 2, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, corner of Noble & Evergreen at 7:30 p.m.  Adults: $25 / students w/ ID's$10.  (children 13 and under are free -- so bring the family).
It will be a memorable evening.
