Blackhawks Win Stanley Cup, Victory Rally to Follow This Week

In six games, the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Boston Bruins to become Stanley Cup Champions. Watch fans celebrate in the city after the 3-2 victory Monday night.

In just 17 seconds, the Chicago Blackhawks went from one goal behind to one ahead in Game 6 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals.

The Hawks were trailing 2-1 with 90 seconds left in the third period when a goal by Bryan Bickell tied the game and kept homes alive for Chicago.

Fans were likely planning for a Game 7, or at least another exciting overtime finish. But Dave Bolland made the command decision that this series was over, scoring just 17 seconds after Bickell to secure a 3-2 victory.

The city erupted as fireworks and car horns sounded in the streets. As in 2010, Clark Street shut down between Roscoe and Addison to a mob of celebrating fans.

Chicago will welcome the Blackhawks home with a victory rally in the very near future. A city spokesperson told the Chicago Tribune the rally would be set sometime this week.

CBS Chicago reports Friday as the rally's date, with the Sun-Times predicting Thursday or Friday

More than 2 million attended the festivities when the Blackhawks won in 2010.
